WORCESTER Warriors’ fans expressed their delight over the news of Melani Nanai's earlier than expected arrival at Sixways.
The 26-year-old speedster has made the move from New Zealand and will begin his Warriors career on Monday.
Warriors confirmed the date of Nanai’s arrival yesterday, sparking a joyful response from supporters on social media.

We will pretty much have a full squad to select from due to minimal internationals being away for the World Cup! We need to win at least three games and with a full squad it’s a massive boost.

Brilliant news. Mainly so there is time to figure where he fits best. Full back and replace/shift Pennell? On the wing? Important to get the best out of everyone there.

Need everyone on the same page for the Tigers game. Great news!!

A lot of expectation on his shoulders and big shoes to fill. I hope he can step up to the plate and carry forward his form from NZ.

Warriors fans are looking forward to seeing our Heem replacement!

Really looking forward to seeing him play so it’s great that he’ll have a pre-season with us.

I feel this guy is going to be amazing.

With the late start there's enough time for Melani to have had a rest and still do pretty much a full pre-season. Hopefully, he'll be able to hit the ground running - literally!
