FORMER Worcester Warriors centre Ben Te’o is off to Japan next year after agreeing to join Super Rugby club Sunwolves.
The England international is one of 14 foreign-born players – including fellow ex-Warrior Jaba Bregvadze – in the Japanese outfit’s squad for the 2020 season which starts in February.
Te’o made 36 appearances during his three-year spell at Sixways before his departure this summer.
The 32-year-old was left out of England’s Rugby World Cup shortly after an alleged altercation with Harlequins’ Mike Brown at a team social in Treviso.
New Zealand-born Te’o signed for French giants Toulon on a short-term deal in August but is now poised to move to Japan to play for Sunwolves who are set for their final season in Super Rugby.
Georgia hooker Bregvadze played for Warriors between 2015 and 2017 before signing for Russian side Krasny Yar and then Sunwolves last year.
