FLANKER Caleb Montgomery is likely to be out for “at least two months” after undergoing an operation on his problematic wrist.
Director of rugby Alan Solomons confirmed the Irishman had surgery on his scaphoid – a small bone on the thumb side of the wrist – last month.
Montgomery, 24, joined Warriors from Ulster this summer and produced two strong performances in the Premiership Cup at the start of the season.
But Montgomery is now unlikely to return to the fold until early February.
“Caleb's scaphoid was operated on and it was 12 weeks from the date of the operation,” Solomons said.
“He’s at least two months away.
“That operation stabilises the wrist completely.”
