WORCESTER Warriors ace Ryan Mills is reportedly being linked with an early exit from Sixways to Bath or Wasps.

Rugby website ruck.co.uk claims centre Mills, 27, is looking to get out of his deal a year early.

The Exeter-born former Gloucester and England under 20s back has played seven Gallagher Premiership games this season for Warriors without scoring a try alongside four appearances in the cups.

Seen as one of the club's leaders, in late December it was revealed Mills had been given a break from captaincy duties at Worcester to focus on his own game.

He suffered a foot injury in January and was reported to have recovered but then did not feature in the first XV or on the bench in the 30-26 home defeat to Wasps in the Gallagher Premiership as he was back on the injury list.

Instead Ollie Lawrence and Ashley Beck started in the centre positions with fit-again Francois Venter called up as a replacement.

The website ruck.co.uk says Warriors' visitors on Saturday Bath are the current favourites to sign Mills but adds the player's preferred destination is West Midlands rivals Wasps.

Mills, who joined Worcester in the summer of 2014 and can also play at fly-half, was invited to senior England training camps in 2017 but has yet to be capped.

The former Hartpury College student reached his century of Warriors appearances when he captained the side in the European Challenge Cup match in Castres in November 2019.

A Warriors spokesman said the club did not comment on speculation.
