WORCESTER Warriors have made their second signing ahead of the 2021/22 Gallagher Premiership season as Wasps and former Scotland U20 prop Jack Owlett has agreed to a Worcester move.

The 26-year old was a member of the successful Exeter University side that won the 2016 BUCS title, which attracted the attention of Exeter Chiefs, where he joined the academy setup following his academic studies.

He gained valuable senior experience on a dual registration with Cornish Pirates in the Championship during his time at Sandy Park before joining Wasps in the summer of 2019.

The prop made nine appearances for Wasps during his stint in Coventry but only one coming as a starter. This came after six senior appearances for the Exeter Chiefs.

Owlett will make the short move across the Midlands during the summer alongside Scotland wing Duhan van der Merwe, who will arrive at Sixways from Edinburgh.

Warriors' dorector of rugby Alan Solomons said:“We are pleased to welcome Jack to the Warriors family.

“Jack is a relatively young tighthead prop, who has had a solid grounding at Exeter Chiefs and been able to continue his Premiership experience at Wasps.

“He is now ideally placed to make his mark here at Sixways under the expert tutelage of Mark Irish, our scrum coach and we look forward to his arrival in the summer.”

Owlett was a member of the Scotland squad in the World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Italy in 2015.
