FORMER Worcester Warriors prop and Gloucester Rugby's Val Rapava-Ruskin will miss this weekend's fixture against his old club after being suspended for three games after his red card against Bath last Friday.
Rapava-Ruskin and Bath's Mike Williams, another ex-Worcester, were each shown a red card by referee Wayne Barnes in the west country derby match between Bath and Gloucester on Friday night.
Rapava-Ruskin was sent off in the 8th minute for striking Josh Bayliss of Bath Rugby with the arm/elbow, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.12
Williams in the 52nd minute for a dangerous tackle on Gloucester's Kyle Moyle contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13
The players accepted the charges and were given the following suspensions by the independent disciplinary panel comprising Jeremy Summers (chair), with Chris Skaife and Jamie Corsi.:
Val Rapava-Ruskin: three week suspension. He is free to play again on 16 March 2021.
Mike Williams: four week suspension. He is free to play again on 23 March 2021.
