A MAN in his 60s has died following a crash outside West Midlands Safari Park yesterday (Monday, January 18).

The collision happened on the A456 Kidderminster Road, Bewdley, just after 1pm.

It involved a white Peugeot Boxer van that was towing a white Vauxhall combo van, and a brown Vauxhall Insignia.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS doctor, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent out to the crash.

On arrival, ambulance crews discovered the driver of the one of the vehicles in a serious condition after suffering a suspected medical episode.

He received medical treatment at the scene before being rushed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
