SHAKESPEARE’S enchanting play The Tempest will be coming to Coughton Court.

Friday, July 20, will see the return of The Lord Chamberlain’s Men who will be bringing their fantastical production of The Tempest to Coughton’s beautiful gardens.

For the past decade this hugely popular company have brought their own special brand of authentic, exhilarating and engaging all-male productions to the venue.

This play of soaring poetry, high comedy and tender love, Shakespeare’s late, great gem, examines the power of true love, our capacity for vengeance and what it takes to forgive.

Peter Stickney, Artistic Director, said: "I can’t think of anything more perfect for a summer’s evening than a classical retelling of this great play set against the background of one of the nation’s most beautiful outdoor venues."

Residents are being told to bring a chair and a picnic.
