Indecent exposure at Kidderminster park

Kidderminster Shuttle: Indecent exposure at Kidderminster park Indecent exposure at Kidderminster park

A MAN indecently exposed himself to three teenage girls in a Kidderminster park.

The incident happened on Saturday, April 5, between 6pm and 7pm while the girls were near a fenced area at Springfield Park.

A man appeared on the other side of the fence and indecently exposed himself to one of the girls there and then to all three girls while standing in an open area of the field. As the girls left the scene he disappeared into a wooded area.

The offender appeared to be in his mid-20s or 30s, between 5ft 9ins and 6ft in height and had facial stubble. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood pulled up, dark jogging bottoms and a baseball cap.

After the incident was reported, a dog handler was sent to the park to conduct a search.

PC Kirsty Dury said: "The girls were very upset and we take such incidents very seriously.

"It's quite likely the offender is local and I would urge anyone who saw a man of this description in the area last Saturday evening, or thinks they know who he is, to let us know without delay."

PC Dury can be contacted at Kidderminster Police Station by calling 101, quoting incident reference 651-S-050414, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

How can you blame the victims for something that IS NOT THEIR FAULT!!! You don't know what they were wearing! Even if they were wearing something YOU deem 'dogs dinner', clothing is subjective. And anyway, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THEY WERE WEARING!! Its the disgusting pervert you should be blaming, not THE VICTIMS!!

Huggiesbear you are a moron. You have no idea what those poor girls were wearing or what age they are. The sort of mentality you adopt is what stops a lot of women reporting such crimes for fear of being blamed for inciting the perpetrator into committing the offence. Whatever any girl or woman wears is their choice and to any right minded person should not lead to any sort of sexual crime. How you, as a woman, can have and voice such an opinion is beyond belief, what you are saying is those girls asked for it to happen, well you're wrong. You obviously put your own parenting skills above those of other people and yet clearly have no idea how the world works, that pervert would have done what he did regardless of his victims appearance, age or time of day. IDIOT.

HUGGIESBEAR- I am one of the mums of the girls that were flashed. For your information my daughter nor any of her friends dress like "dogs dinners" infact they were all in jeans and hoodies like every other day,They don't wear makeup at all and our children are not out all hours infact my daughter who is 16 soon has to be in by 7.30 (as its still light out). Our children never cause any trouble they don't drink or take drugs or smoke and they have never been in trouble with the police and we are all decent parents. So before you go round making judgements get your facts right. Your nasty comment makes me believe you think it's ok for someone going around exposing themselves. Thank you to batshake and retrobabies.

Onlyme23 no problem, something needed to be said about such a stupid post. I sincerely hope your daughter and her friends are all o.k. now and don't let a pervert like that affect them too much.

I would like to re-iterate what batshake said, I hope your daughter and her friends are ok. What a horrible thing to have to witness. Can't believe there are people who think the way HuggiesBear does. Hopefully they are few and far between!
