MARTIN Anthony Frederick ('Tony') Highley, Near Bridgnorth Mrs Tena Martin, Paul and Alex, Sarah and Sean and the family of the late Mr Tony Martin wish to express their sincere thanks to all relatives, friends, neighbours and former colleagues from The West Mercia Constabulary for the many cards, letters, emails and other kind messages of sympathy, love and prayers received at this very sad and most difficult time. For the attendance of so many of you, both at the funeral service at The Wyre Forest Crematorium and at the Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving at The Parish Church of St Mary, Highley and for your generous donations, which are being received for and will be divided between 'The Lingen Davies Cancer Appeal at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital N.H.S Trust' and 'The Severn Hospice, Hospice at home (Telford)' which at present a collection of £1,948.00 had been received Your wonderful support has been greatly appreciated by us all Special thanks to his Doctors, to the staff at Highley Medical Practice and to all the outside nursing agencies for your care and kindness to Tony and to the family throughout his illness and for supporting us in nursing him at home until the very end, which was just so important to us all. To Katie Price and all at 'Tea and Roses' Florist's in Bridgnorth for the beautiful floral tributes. To the bearers for completing your duties with such care and for the dignity that your presence brought to the occassion. To Russ Jones, Margaret, Sarah, Paul and to all who participated in the ceremonies for your very personal contributions to a most special day, to all at 'The Bulls Head' public house at Chelmarsh for your very warm hospitality, for the excellent post-funeral reception and for looking after everyone so well afterwards; and to Mr Colin Bailey and organist Mrs Carol Wall for leading us through a most uplifting celebration of Tony's life and times, and for helping us to say goodbye to him with love and thought Finally our sincere thanks to Chris and John Adams and all at Perry and Phillips for your gracious diligence and duty shown at this difficult time to the Martin family Thank you all
