Broadway, often referred to as the "Jewel of the Cotswolds" lies at the foot of the Western Cotswolds escarpment within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The village takes its name from the wide grass-fringed main street which is lined with most attractive Cotswold stone buildings, many dating from the 16th and 17th Century. Surrounded by glorious Cotswolds countryside and situated on the "Cotswold Way" the village is a renowned as a tourist destination in its own right many staying at the famous Lygon Arms Hotel. Access to a number of the regions main conurbations is excellent with Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon both being about 16 miles distant, Evesham approximately 6 miles (with a direct rail link to London Paddington) and the M5 can be accessed at both Worcester and Tewkesbury.
