PAST members of a Kidderminster dance studio will be performing again for “one more time” in a charity show spectacular.

Numerous ex-Splinters dancers are staging an emotional reunion to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Cancer Research UK.

Current members of the award-winning dance studio will join them for next month’s two performances at Stourport Civic Hall.

The programme will feature show stopping theatrical group work with classics ranging from Grease to Les Miserables.

There will also be a variety of modern and classical duets.

Producer and choreographer Jane Bennett said: “The show will be very special because we have relatives of performers, old and new, suffering from these terrible diseases.

"When I put the message out, I was overwhelmed by the response.

"Some of the old dancers work professionally, some have and are now retired - the eldest being 47 - and some never done a step since the day they left.

“To have so many of them reuniting for this is very special. They are travelling from as far away as Leeds and London for rehearsals and their dedication is unwavering.

“It will be a great show, full of fun, passion and showmanship and we hope the community will support us by coming to watch.”

The curtain will rise for One More Time on Sunday, September 6, with a matinee at 2pm and an evening performance at 5pm.

An evening of karaoke will follow from 7.30pm, which will be free to those who buy tickets for either performance, or £5 on the door

Tickets, priced £10, are available online at thecivicstourport.co.uk, from the box office on Saturdays from 11am until 1pm or by calling 0333 6663366.
