ORGANISERS of Kidderminster Arts Festival (KAF) have launched a new sponsorship programme for local businesses to support the event on Saturday, August 6.

The scheme has been set-up by organisers Wyre Forest District Council to help provide financial support and supplement existing funding from the Arts Council.

KAF organiser, Loz Samuels, said: "For local businesses, sponsorship is an excellent opportunity to connect with residents and visitors in way they might not have previously done – through art and culture.

"We know from our own research that getting involved with the festival has significant commercial benefits for businesses in the town.

"This is the first time we have offered sponsorship packages which is a reflection of the growing success of the festival.

"There are a number of sponsorship options starting from just £20 per day during the event.

"Opportunities include advertising on the KAF website, branding on KAF Festival brochure, social media mentions, newspaper adverts, collection vehicle panels, pop up displays, speaker opportunities and merchandising options.

"There is a wide range of opportunities to suit all types of business and all budgets.

"We are offering the sponsorship slots on a first come first served basis so we advise interested businesses to complete their applications as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."

This year the festival runs from August 6 until August 28, with more than 530 artists, 181 crew members, 377 performances and 130 workshops involved in the event.

There will also be 300 volunteering roles created for local people.
