SELLING out shows more than a month in advance, the rise of Rat Boy continues with the confirmation of his largest headline gig to date at London’s Heaven next year.

Building a reputation as a riotous live performer, every single previous Rat Boy headline gig has been sold-out. And it's no different for the Birmingham date of his tour when he takes to the stage at The Sunflower Lounge on Thursday, September 24.

But, fans need not fret as there are still tickets left at some of his headline shows, including at Stoke's Sugarmill the day before the Birmingham date.

Rat Boy’s homegrown raps paint a lyrical dissertation of suburban Britain. It’s a place in which stepping onto public transport is akin to entering a battlefield: a land of wannabe gangsters, muggings and sportswear casualties.

The Chelmsford resident observes the society around him and encapsulates his environment in songs which flow with wit and caustic disparagement. He’s firmly within the storytelling lineage of Britain’s great lyricists who represent some of his greatest influences; Ian Dury, The Clash, Squeeze, Blur and The Streets.

After introducing himself to his biggest audiences so far when he played Reading and Leeds Festival and Bestival, Rat Boy headed out on his headline tour yesterday (Wednesday), to play 15 dates, four of which are sold out.

Tickets for the shows are available at http://gigst.rs/RatBoy and 0844 811 0051.

He will hit the road again in November with The 1975 and Circa Waves.
