A LED Zeppelin tribute band will have a whole lotta love for Wolverley as they celebrate the 20th year for frontman Steven Gale.

Fred Zeppelin, named by Kerrang as one of the top ten best live bands, will be playing at Wolverley Social Club, in Shatterford Lane, next Friday (November 20).

The Midlands-based band have been paying tribute to 1970s rock band for 20 years and have had Kidderminster-born frontman Robert Plant attend three of their gigs.

The four members of Fred Zeppelin are fans and formed The Freds out of their admiration and love of Led Zeppelin’s music.

Drummer Steve Black, bassist Kevin Brown and guitarist Keith Jenkins formed the band in 1993.

The aim of the band was to reproduce note-for-note the music of Led Zeppelin without dressing up.

The line-up has changed in the last 20 years with vocalist Rob Bloomer being replaced with Steven Gale and bassist Kevin Brown with Elliot Gavin.

The band pride themselves on never playing the same set twice due to the huge volume of Led Zeppelin material available to them.

Tickets for the 9pm show cost £6 in advance from wegottickets.com/event/326889 or £8 on the door.
