BEWDLEY Youth Festival is to hold the second Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year contest.
The competition is open to youngsters in education who either live in the district or who attend a school or college within the district.
The winners of the competition will be invited to perform at a gala concert at which the Young Musician of the Year will be chosen and the winner of the prize for Best Original Composition will be announced.
The competition will be held on Saturday, January 23, and is open to people aged between 13 and 18. The gala concert will also feature a headline performance by the award-winning local young musician Sunjay.
Entry to the competition rounds is free and tickets for the gala performance are £5 each or £2 (18 and under). Tickets are available on the door.
