TO celebrate the warmer weather Stourport-on-Severn Brass Band will host a ‘Spring into Summer’ concert at the Civic Hall this weekend.
Under the baton of Oliver Wilson, musical director of the brass band since 2013, the band is going from strength to strength, having recently achieved second place at the Midland Regional Brass Band Championships.
Mr Wilson said: “Whilst contests are brilliant training for the band and lead to improvements in players’ abilities, the band enjoys performing to local audiences most of all.
“We are really looking forward to this concert. There is truly something to appeal to everyone’s musical taste, young and not so young – all are welcome.”
Tickets for the concert at Stourport Civic Hall on Saturday (May 28) are £10 for adults and £8 for concessions.
