IN an effort to prove that most men can sing, the Kidderminster Male Choir will be holding a recruitment open day challenge this weekend.
The popular choir will hold the open day challenge at the Bewdley Guildhall on Saturday (May 13) between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
A spokesman for the choir said: "It is surprising how many people, particularly men, think they cannot sing or are intimidated by the thought of performing on a stage.
"The intention of the open day is to invite anyone who would like to have a go to come along and enjoy themselves in a no-pressure environment.
"We are just men, of all ages, who like to perform.
"Singing with a group of blokes is great fun and, of course, there is always the after show and rehearsal get-together in a local hostelry."
Last year saw one of the busiest periods for the choir in its 100 plus years history, with many concerts performed at a variety of venues throughout Worcestershire and the UK - and 2017 is looking to be just as successful.
The choir perform many choral pieces, but their repertoire also includes numbers by ABBA, Adele, Queen and the Beach Boys.
