A POPULAR Kidderminster choir is set to support those who have suffered bereavement and honour the victims of the Manchester and London terrorist attacks at an open air concert.

Kidderminster Male Choir will be performing at the open air Bodenham Arboretum Concert, near Wolverley, on Saturday (June 17) from 8pm.

The choir will donate their fee for the concert to a bereavement charity of their choice.

They will also honour the Manchester and London terror attack victims by performing a special rendition of the emotive and emotional Kurt Bestor piece ‘Prayer of the Children’.

A spokesman for the Kidderminster Male Choir said: “The open air concert at Bodenham Arboretum, in Wolverley, near Kidderminster, on Saturday, June 17, commences at 8pm and is the perfect setting to hold a summer picnic concert.

“Kidderminster Male Choir have been honoured, but also saddened, in the past few months to officiate at a number of funerals, including the double funeral of Tracey and Pierce Wilkinson, in Stourbridge.

“It was with these in mind, and the awful atrocities in Manchester and London, that spurred the choir to find a way of supporting the families of the bereaved.

“The concert repertoire as well as ‘Prayer of the Children’ will be the usual feast of Kidderminster Male Choir songs to include Queen, ABBA, Adele, Elton John and many more.

“We have been in touch with Kurt Bestor and he has given his blessing and support to our concert, and asked us to pass on his support to all those who have been bereaved under any circumstances.

“I do hope that many, many people will come along for a great night out - but also to send a message to those evil people who carried out the Manchester and London attacks, that they will not stop us enjoying ourselves.”

Gates open at 6pm, with the concert starting at 8pm.

Tickets are £12 and are available by visiting, ticketsource.co.uk/date/363680.

Visitors can bring their own picnic, or pre-order a picnic hamper from the Bodenham Arboretum Visitor Centre for £12.50 per person, with a free drink from the bar included.
