KAOS found another winner in this Ray Cooney farce, which had us laughing from start to finish.

Nigel Preece, as always brilliant in the lead role, headed a superb cast.

His portrayal of the MP who’s idea of an all night sitting involves a young girl in a hotel bedroom, was hilarious and his timing was spot-on as usual.

Ian Jones, as the MP’s PPS was amazing. His timing and facial expressions were a joy and he and Nigel were a perfect double act.

Emily Wyer was excellent as the young lady, who was cheating on her husband was well-portrayed by James Eales.

The ever-reliable Darren Richards played the part of the hotel manager well, slightly camp but not over doing it, and there was good back-up in the smaller roles, such as Salli Hunt as the nurse, Sharon Westley as the MP’s wife and Alison Johnson as the maid.

One of the best performances came from Dave Clarke as the detective, who must have been covered with bruises by end of the run, as he was dragged around the stage, pulled through a window and hung on a door for much of the evening!

Stealing many scenes was Charlie Combes, as the waiter, who made a fortune out of the comings and goings in the hotel room, always insisting on being financially rewarded and even offering to take a credit card when the cash ran out!

The only downside was that at times the audience were laughing so loudly, that we missed the next bit of dialogue.

What a great evening.
