Nicki Minaj’s waxwork at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas has been put under guard after visitors began posing for inappropriate photos.
The museum was forced to take action after several people posted photos to social media, showing them behaving suggestively with Nicki’s likeness, who is depicted crawling on all fours in skimpy clothing.
The pose is based on her music video for her hit song Anaconda, and was approved by the pop star – who Instagrammed a photo of the new waxwork alongside a still from the video.
But the visitors failed to behave themselves. One snap even showed a man explicitly pressed against the waxwork from behind, pulling her hair.
Here are a few of the slightly tamer efforts…
The provocative photo – not shown – was a step too far for Madame Tussauds, who posted a statement saying: “Madame Tussauds attractions are interactive, immersive experiences, and our guests are usually respectful towards the wax figures.
“It’s unfortunate that this visitor chose to behave so inappropriately and we apologise for any offence caused.”
As well as more staff, they promised a re-design of the display. The waxwork was only unveiled two weeks ago in Las Vegas.
