OCTOBER ends with a bang and also a splash of Hollywood glamour as far as Malvern’s Festival Theatre is concerned with a star-studded line up set to appear in the riveting Twelve Angry Men immediately prior to the play heading for the West End.

Martin Shaw, Jeff Fahey, Nick Moran and Robert Vaughn star as jurors who have murder on their minds and a life in their hands as they decide the fate of a young delinquent accused of killing his father. But what appears to be an open and shut case soon becomes a huge dilemma.

Prejudices and preconceived ideas about the accused, the trial and each other rise to the surface to turn the tables every which way, until the nail-biting climax… This new production of Twelve Angry Men brings to the stage the taut brilliance of the 1957 three-time Academy Award nominated film which was produced by and starred Henry Fonda, and is considered to be one of the great ‘must-see’ movies of all time.

Martin Shaw recently appeared in the West End in the acclaimed The Country Girl and A Man for All Seasons. He is best known for starring in the multi-award-winning BBC drama Judge John Deed and more recently Inspector George Gently. His role in the iconic series The Professionals ensured his status as a British screen legend.

Oscar nominee Robert Vaughn has starred in some of the greatest movie classics of the 20th century, including The City Jungle, and opposite Steve McQueen in The Magnificent Seven, The Towering Inferno and Bullitt. His TV credits include The Man from U.N.C.L.E, The Protectors and as ‘Albert Stoller’ in BBC‘s Hustle.

Hollywood’s Jeff Fahey has starred in a myriad of films including the title role in cult thriller The Lawnmower Man opposite Pierce Brosnan, Roberto Rodriguez’s Machete, Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse, Silverado and White Hunter Black Heart opposite Clint Eastwood. He starred as pilot Frank Lapidus in Lost.

Nick Moran is best known as Eddy the card sharp in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and as Scabior in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2. Moran has appeared in many films and TV programs including New Blood with John Hurt, ITV’s Mr Selfridge and The Musketeer.

Twelve Angry Men is at the Festival Theatre from Monday, October 28 through to Saturday, November 2.
