A PLAY written by a Wyre Forest councillor about the First World War is set to be performed next month.
‘August 4th 1914’, penned by Nigel Knowles, will be staged at the Severn Centre in Highley at 4pm on Saturday, November 7 – coinciding with the weekend of Remembrance services.
The story focuses on the Smith family living in Highley and the effect on them and the rest of the village of war breaking out.
The play, which is free for people to attend, will be performed by four actors.
