REHEARSALS are under way for Chaddesley Amateur Theatrical Society’s (CATS) pantomime, Cinderella.

It runs from November 19 until November 28, except Sundays and Mondays, at Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall.

The cast is made up of Chaddesley people, with daughter and mother, Elly, 13 and Beth Page, playing Cinderella and her stepmother. Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Collie, plays Prince Charming, while pub landlord, Rupert Boden, is ugly stepsister, Hattie.

“The dresses are definitely not what my customers are used to seeing me wearing behind the bar of The Talbot,” said Mr Boden. “I’m going to have to remember to take the last of my make-up off at the end of the night and have a quick check in the mirror before I go back to work.”

Producer, Matt Tunnicliffe, who also plays Buttons, said: “I wanted to make the pantomime fun for all the family. Tickets are selling fast and lots of local people are keen to get involved in any way they can.”

Evening performances begin at 7.30pm and there are Saturday matinees at 2pm. Tickets are now on sale. Ring 01562 777388 for more details.
