Health roadshow kick-starts New Year

Health kick: Staff at the Midcounties Co-operative gave customers advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
SHOPPERS learned how to maintain a healthy lifestyle during a roadshow at a Kidderminster store.
The event was held at the Midcounties Co-operative in Franche Road as part of the company’s New Year, New Start, New You campaign.
People learned about the importance of healthy living through recipe cards, food and booklets handed out on the day.
Representatives from businesses across Kidderminster also attended the roadshow and pharmacy technicians gave customers advice on how to stop smoking and lose weight.
Rachel Lockett, membership development officer, said: “It was really encouraging to see so many customers and members taking part in this event.
“It’s the start of a new year and a time where people want to improve their health and fitness.
“The day was a great success and really emphasised the overall importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.”
