SHOPPERS are set to enjoy free parking at selected car parks in Wyre Forest.
The parking offer gets underway on Wednesday, July 24 and is between 10am and 4pm.
It will cover Wyre Forest District Council car parks in Bromsgrove Street, Kidderminster on Wednesdays, Dog Lane, in Bewdley on Thursdays and at Severn Meadows, Stourport on Thursdays.
Conservative councillor Marcus Hart, the district council’s cabinet member for environmental services, said: “We were delighted with the positive response to the free parking scheme we provided during the festive season.
“We do want to support our traders and encourage shoppers and tourists into the town centres. We’ll be reviewing how the initiative is working after six months.”
Signs will be put up in the selected car parks to highlight the times of the free parking.
