A CAR was stolen and set on fire following a burglary in Kidderminster.
Thieves stole the keys to the Fiat Qubo - registration LE58 0WL - after entering a property in Sheraton Avenue through an unlocked window between 11.30pm on Wednesday and 3.20am yesterday.
They also took just over £200 cash, a Kindle e-reader worth £70, a red iPro mobile phone along with its charger worth £60, and a black Advent Roma laptop and laptop bag worth £329.
The car, which was worth £11,000, was discovered on fire in Falcon Close at about 3.20am. It is believed the vehicle was destroyed.
A garage was also damaged by the fire, sustaining blistered paint and melted guttering.
Police are looking into whether the car being abandoned and torched is linked to another incident in which the lock of a van in nearby Ludlow Road was tampered with at about 2.45am.
Three men wearing hoodies, two of which were dark in colour and one red, and all worn with the hoods up, were seen in Ludlow Road at the time.
Witnesses should contact Detective Lloyd Davies on 101 quoting incident 21-N-110713.
