A KIDDERMINSTER mother has been given a community order after falsely claiming benefits.
Sylvie Hodgkins, 25, of Woodbury Road, pleaded guilty to two charges after failing to declare that her partner had moved in with her and had been living with her since July 2011.
The mother of three received £4,243 in income support, £7,185 in housing benefit and £870 in council tax benefit to which she was not entitled to between July 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012.
Kidderminster magistrates sentenced Hodgkins to a 12-month Community Order with 100 hours of unpaid work.
They gave her credit for her early guilty plea and cooperation with the probation service. Hodgkins was also ordered to pay costs of £100.
