A THIRTEEN-year-old student from Bewdley is getting 36 inches of her hair lopped off for a good cause.
Kitty Proctor, of the Bewdley School, has so far raised £620 for Cancer Research in memory of her great-aunt Janice Proctor who recently died from the disease.
Kitty’s hair will also be donated to charity to make a wig for a child suffering hair loss due to cancer.
Sheree Jenkins, Kitty’s mother, said: “We lost a family member a couple of weeks ago to cancer and Kitty decided she would like to raise some money.”
“She feels nervous as she’s had it long for many years but excited. She didn’t know you could make a wig and donate your hair to a child who has cancer.”
Kitty will be having her hair cut off on Tuesday. To sponsor her visit justgiving.com/kitty-proctor
