KIDDERMINSTER residents were woken in the early hours of this morning by loud noises caused by an industrial process.
Police received reports from concerned residents in Tolley Road, claiming they were woken by the loud noise which sounded like a steam train.
A West Mercia police spokesman confirmed it was related to an industrial process, however.
"It's not unusual for loud banging noises to be coming from steel-making processes early in the morning but it seems like this one was louder than normal," he said.
