PEOPLE running small businesses or start-ups in Wyre Forest are being invited to take part in an event aimed at them.

Mark Garnier MP is calling on them to attend the Growth with Confidence Small Business Forum.

The forum, organised by Conservative Mark Garnier, will be held on Friday, February 28, when Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, the British Bankers Association (BBA) and Google will addressing delegates.

Advice on how to seek support and guidance on funding and grants for small businesses, finance and business mentoring and how businesses can best utilise the internet as a resource for business growth will be the core topics.

The event runs from 8.30am until noon at the Gainsborough Hotel in Kidderminster. It is free to attend but, to manage numbers, businesses will need to register.

Mr Garnier said: “Small businesses are the lifeblood for employment and economic growth. Encouraging small businesses and start-ups and providing them with the support they need in order to have the best possible start is essential.

"This event will provide valuable advice to local businesses and will be a fantastic opportunity for them to access information about funding, finance and how to get the best out of the internet. It will also, as ever, be a great opportunity to network.”

Further information and registration forms can be obtained from markgarnier.co.uk or by contacting Mr Garnier's office on 01562 746771.
