ONE of the masked men who targeted a Kidderminster petrol station was wearing a devil mask, it has emerged.
The man, who was also wearing dark clothes, was one of three masked raiders who burst into the Sainsbury's petrol station in Carpets Trade Way at about 11.30pm last night, terrifying two female workers.
A second man was of stocky build, and wearing a ski mask and a hat across his face, along with a dark coloured tracksuit top, denim jeans, and distinctive luminous gloves.
The third one was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark top. It is believed they ran off on foot after the attempted robbery.
The men, who were also armed with a crowbar, forced their way into the shop through a back door and demanded cash from staff who were cashing up. They tried to open the safe but were unable to do so and left empty handed.
The petrol station was sealed off for forensic investigation this morning but has now reopened.
Witnesses or anyone with information should contact Detective Constable Hilary Martin on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 614-s-080114, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
