Residents urged to have say on NHS service

RESIDENTS in Wyre Forest are being invited by the NHS to voice their opinions on the Patient Transport Service.

The service is for patients with a medical need meaning they require transport to and from hospital or other healthcare services for appointments and treatment.

This will help shape the service as the NHS Wyre Forest Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is beginning the process of re-procuring its service.

The event is taking place tomorrow at St. Peter’s Baptist Church Centre, Worcester, starting at 6pm, and will offer the chance for people to find out more about the service and offer suggestions on how to improve it.

Wyre Forest CCG wants to hear from patients, clinicians and care professionals, who have experience of using the service.

Ferduse Sadiq, project manager, said: “It’s vital that we hear about all elements of the current service, to see if people are happy with it and receive suggestions on how it can be improved.

“I would encourage anyone who wants to find out more and have their say to attend our event.”

Feedback can also be emailed to CCGComms@worcestershire.nhs.uk.
