BEWDLEY’S town centre is being transformed into a bustling European market place for the first time later this month.
The town is hosting a Traditional Market's European Food and Craft Fair for the first time on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, Traders from France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Holland will be setting up shops selling the typical items and food which will remind visitors of a holiday experience.
The range of products include cheeses, sausages, tartiflette - a cheese and potatoes dish from the Alps, charcuterie and for those with a sweet tooth, there will also be freshly made crepes.
Most of the products on sale come from each stall holder’s region, where they are produced by small organisations such as family businesses, farms, or small factories using traditional methods and maintaining a high standard of quality.
