CLOSURE DELAYED: Birmingham Road, Kidderminster will now be closed from tomorrow morning (Saturday, November 29) to repair a damaged sewer pipe
SEVERN Trent Water are delaying their work on Birmingham Road, Kidderminster, due to the fire in Horsefair.
Due to the fire in A451 Horsefair, Kidderminster, on Thursday evening (November 27), which has closed the road, traffic is using the A456, Birmingham Road, to get around the closure.
A spokesman from Severn Trent Water, said: “The Fire Service and Police are now carrying out an investigation into the fire and to allow them to do that, the A451 Horsefair needs to remain closed.
"We have agreed to postpone our work further to allow traffic to keep moving along the Birmingham Road."
There is currently no confirmed date to when the sewer repair work and road closure will be.
