I live in Stratford-on-Avon and work as a university law professor.

If you elect me I’ll be full-time with no second job. With the Liberal Democrats collapsing, it’s a straight choice between Labour and the Conservatives. My priorities include: Investing in the NHS. Unlike the Conservatives, Labour has identified funding for more nurses, home carers and GPs. We’ll reduce waits for GP appointments and cancer tests. I’ll fight to save all services at the Alex.

Action on transport. I’ll seek funding to dual more sections of the A46 and improvements to reduce the number of accidents.

Opportunities for young people. We’ll protect the education budget including colleges. We’ll cut tuition fees and provide more apprenticeships. We’ll build affordable homes to meet local need and improve security for renters.

Making work pay. We’ll increase the minimum wage, extend free childcare and lower the starting rate of tax. We’ll cut business rates to help our independent traders stay in business.

Labour will provide a strong economic foundation. We’ll balance the books and cut the deficit every year. None of our manifesto commitments require additional borrowing.

As your MP I’ll use every opportunity to be a champion for all the people of Stratford-on-Avon.
