KIND solicitors will be supporting a Kidderminster hospice by writing wills for residents in exchange for donations.

Seven legal firms have signed up for Kemp Hospice’s Make a Will Week, which takes place between Monday, May 18 and Friday, May 22.

Anyone wishing to take part in the campaign can contact any of the participating firms to make an appointment and mention ‘Kemp Hospice Make a Will Week’.

The appointment must be made during the week but can be arranged for a more convenient time outside of that week.

Ele Millward, Kemp fundraiser, said: “This is an ideal time to make or change your will and support your local Hospice at the same time.

“The campaign involves the solicitors giving their time, free of charge, to update or write a will; and in return we ask those who take part to make a donation to the Hospice.

“In the last 5 years the campaign has raised more than £20,000. All the money raised helps us to continue caring for people in the local area who are dealing with the challenge of life limiting illness and provide much needed support to their loved ones.”

Hospice volunteer Amanda Kinbrum, who has taken part in the campaign, said: "Taking part in KEMP's Make a Will Week has really put my mind at ease - not only have I now got all my affairs in order, I've also helped the Hospice support people in the local area.

“It was so quick and easy to do, that everyone should do it, no matter how young or old!"
