CALLOUS thieves have broken into a charity shop in Kidderminster and stolen more than £400 in cash.

West Mercia Police are now appealing for information following the burglary at Kemp Hospice, in Coventry Street, between 4.30pm on Saturday, May 30, and 8am this morning (Monday, June 1).

PC Thomas Griffin, the investigating officer, said: "Stealing from a charity shop is thoughtless, completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by police.

"I am eager to speak to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time, to help trace those who are responsible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident 111S of Monday, June 1.
