A STOURPORT man died as the result of an industrial disease, a coroner has ruled.
Raymond Gerald Sheward, 75, was exposed to asbestos during the course of his working life and, as a result, developed mesothelioma.
In later years, his health deteriorated and he died at his home, in Menteith Close, on Monday, November 2.
An inquest held by Worcestershire Coroner’s Service opened on November 3, and closed on Friday, November 6, ruled Mr Sheward died as the result of an industrial disease.
The medical cause of death, confirmed at the inquest, is listed as mesothelioma.
