POLICE are linking two similar incidents of harassment in Stourport Road, Kidderminster, in the early hours of Monday morning.

At around 12.20am on Monday (July 11), two unknown men approached a 23-year-old man, from Stourport, while he was driving across the bridge over the railway, near to KFC.

The man slowed his vehicle down and spoke with the two men who asked for a lift to Stourport, which he refused.

The men then became aggressive and attempted to get into the victim's car and kicked it. No damage was caused to the vehicle.

The victim then drove away.

West Mercia Police believe the incident is linked to an attempted robbery in the same location, at around 12.40am on Monday morning.

During that incident, two men again approached a man in a vehicle and asked for a lift to Stourport.

When the victim said no, one of the men tried to slip his hand into the vehicle through a partially open windows to take the car keys.

The man became irate and verbally abused the victim, before punching the car window. No damage was caused to the vehicle and the victim drove away from the scene.

One man had ginger curly hair, short on the sides and long on the top, with short stubble on his face. He was wearing a brown leather jacket, blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and white trainers.

The second man had black hair, short on the sides with a fringe and dark stubble on his face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red plain t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

While the descriptions of the suspects differ slightly, the similarity in the incidents and locations have prompted West Mercia Police to treat these offences as linked.
