KIDDERMINSTER'S first Electric Vehicle will take place next weekend.

Transition Kidderminster, a local environmental group, is organising the event at Youth House car park, in Bromsgrove Street, on Saturday, May 13, between 10am and 12 noon.

The show will provide an opportunity for Wyre Forest residents and businesses to find out more about electric vehicles. The event will finish with a parade of electric vehicles around Kidderminster.

A range of electric vehicles, including the BMW i3, Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe will be showcased by their owners - who will be avaialable to answer questions. Representatives from Worcestershire County Council will also be attending to provide information about public electric vehicle charging points across the county.

Keith Budden, from Transition Kidderminster, said: "This is a great chance for local residents to get their questions answered by the real experts, people who already own and use electric cars.

"Come along and see the future of motoring which is cheap, clean and fun."
