KIND horticulturists from Kidderminster will be doing their bit for charity again when they take part in a popular fundraising event.

Kidderminster Horticultural Society (KHS) will host its Gardens Open Day on June 25 with money raised going to Acorns Children’s Hospice and the Alzheimer’s Society.

The annual event has seen the society amass a total of more than £70,000 for a variety of good causes and organisers are hoping to raise more than £4,000 this year.

There will be eight gardens on show this year and tickets cost £5 which will allow anyone to view any or all of the gardens including.

Among them will be Louise and Digby Aston, who are opening their impressive di at The Cheryls just past the Button Oak Pub which has over 70 Acers.

The other gardens will offer a selection of different planting schemes, from cottage gardens through to a lawn free terraced garden. Gardeners will be on hand to answer any questions relating to their garden.

Tickets can be obtained from John Beard Ironmongery & Tools, Bridge Street, Kidderminster, Stourport Photo Centre High Street Stourport and also on the gate of the Open Garden on the day (addresses will be on their website on June 22).
