A WOMAN has died after being stabbed in Wrens Nest.

Police were called to a house in Hillside Road at 8.57am this morning (Wednesday) and found the 55-year-old with "serious injuries". She died at the scene.

Officers arrested a 65-year-old man at the house on suspicion of attempted murder.

A FATHER has spoken of his shock after a car ploughed into the front wall of his house in Stourport - where his baby son had been sat minutes earlier.

Richard Jones, 35, was at home with his partner Sarah Yeomans, 24, two daughters Leah, 15, and Ava, eight, and six-month-old Callum, when the car crashed into the property in the Gilgal, at around 9.30pm on Tuesday (July 11).

A STOURBRIDGE man killed his "difficult" mother when he pushed or threw her to the floor during a Christmas Eve argument over potatoes, a court heard.

Mark Jennens said he "lost it" during a call to the emergency services - later adding that it was the last time she was "going to speak to him like that".

A SCHOOL in Bromsgrove has been told it is 'failing' and 'requires special measures' by Ofsted, despite being rated 'outstanding' in its last inspection.

A surprise inspection was carried out at Sidemoor First School in May, where inspectors found the quality of teaching to be 'weak', while some pupils were making 'no progress'.

The incident happened at approximately 10.34pm on Easemore Road on Saturday, July 1. Two men and a woman were stood talking near to a premises on the road, when they were approached by two men.

ONE of the biggest events in the Black Country calendar will take place this weekend with the return of the Old Hill Festival.
