A ROCK n’ roll night aimed at raising vital funds for charity will be held in Stourport next week.

Vocal harmony trio Bluebird Belles will perform a string of classics when they perform at the Stourport Civic on Friday, March 16.

The aim of the event, organised by Stourport resident Ann Hughes, is to raise much-need funds for Acorn’s Children’s Hospice and Colostomy UK.

Tickets for the event, which will also feature a tombola offering a host of prizes donated by local businesses, are now on sale.

The Bluebird Belles are inspired by legendary female trios such as The Boswell Sisters and The Andrews Sister as well as later girl groups The Chordettes, The Surpremes and The Velvelettes.

Tickets are £10 each and available for collection at the Civic or online from the Civic website. People can also call the box office on 01299 823339. Doors open at 7pm while the Bluebird Belles performance starts at 8pm.
