DELIGHTED owners of a Stourport gift store are celebrating after winning a coveted industry ‘Oscar’.
Mooch, which has stores in Stourport and Bewdley, was named Independent Retailer of the Year for Midlands and Wales at The Greats Gift Retailer Awards.
Owners Jon May and Luke Jacks were presented with their trophy at a glittering ceremony held at Grosvenor House in London on May 17.
The Greats were launched by Progressive Gifts and Home magazine and are now in their 16th year. They aim to recognise and celebrate the top independent and multiple gift retailers across the country.
It is the latest good news for Mooch, which celebrated the opening of its new Stourport store on the High Street.
The pair bought the new store – just yards from the previous shop – and have spent around £10,000 refurbishing and redesigning it.
Jon: “We are overwhelmed and so very proud to receive this award.
“These awards are Oscars of the gifts industry it really is the icing on the cake to a fabulous year marking three years of trading along with the launch of our new Stourport store.”
