GENEROUS Kidderminster golfers proved in full swing when they raised money for charity.

The golfers carded a total of £1,645.33 which they presented to Sight Concern Worcestershire.

It followed a highly successful Captain's weekend at Kidderminster Golf Club who had adopted Sight Concern as their chosen charity.

Club captain John Holt said: "I'm so pleased that Sight Concern have been recognised for the work they do. I first came across the charity at Kidderminster Eye Clinic.

"I know from personal experience that people who lose part or all of their sight often think they're alone.

"We want to get a very simple message out there that help is available."

The Local Eyes Peer Support Group meets in Stourport on the third Monday afternoon of the month and at Kidderminster Corn Exchange on the fourth Monday afternoon.
