MEMBERS of Wyre Forest Gymnastics School excelled at the West Midlands Levels Championships over the weekend at the Birmingham Sports Centre.

Hannah Wilson, competing in her first espoires full figure competition, recorded a score of 33.8, while Elle May Ward produced a strong performance in the nine-year-old section to score 33.6.

Students from the school performed in the out of age level two, three and four sections on Sunday and produced solid routines.

Results: Level two (12 to 13 years) results: 7 Jessica Atkinson 43.258; 8 Lydia Harrington 42.442; 9 Kathryn Deeley 42.425; 10 Annabelle Scott 41.742.

Level three (13 plus): 11 Kelly Brooks 40.042.

Level 4 (12 plus): 10 Danielle Perrins 41.417.

Level 4 (10 to 11): 9 Gracie Tapsell-Smith; 25 Eve Newman 39.75; 29 Lily Crook 36.45.

Girls train 10 to 15 hours a week at Baxter College, where the club holds classes for all ages and and abilities.
