At the Museum of Carpet we hold a considerable collection of pictures showing the people who worked at many of the well-known carpet manufacturers in the local area. The images we are sharing this week are of workers from Jelleymans. They clearly had a good time out of work, especially the netball team who appear to have enjoyed a spot of fancy dress.
To ensure that the legacy of companies like Jelleymans and the wider carpet industry can live on, we are currently recruiting volunteers; hand loom weavers (no experience necessary), power loom weavers (experience required) and front of house members.
