A HAIRDRESSING salon in Blakedown has been shortlisted for a national award.
Stacey McKnight Hairdressing is up for Hair Extensionist of the Year at the national English Hair & Beauty Awards.
The awards are voted for by the public and seek to present accolade to those who work at an excellent standard.
Salon-owner Stacey Mcknight said: "It has been a tremendously challenging year setting up a new business in the current COVID climate but thanks to the support of my fantastic team and our clients my dream has been turned into reality.
"I'm incredibly proud to be shortlisted for this award and believe it's a credit to the hard work and determination this past year."
A spokesperson for The English Hair & Beauty Awards 2022, said "The Covid-19 pandemic presented unique challenges for the hair and beauty industry with many businesses being forced to close and various restrictions being in place. However, many businesses have successfully adapted to the new challenges the industry has faced since the pandemic started.
“With fierce competition this year, we would like to wish the finalists the best of luck and we can’t wait to welcome our guests and deliver another enjoyable event."
Stacey will find out if she's won her category at the awards ceremony on Sunday, March 20 at The Marriott Nottingham Belfry Hotel.
