PLANS to install brand new floodlights at Aggborough Stadium have been given the thumbs up following Kidderminster Harriers’ FA Cup success.
The football club, which came close to upsetting West Ham in the fourth round of the cup earlier this year, lodged a plan to upgrade the lighting at Aggborough Stadium.
The planning application states: “Our proposal, following the success of the FA Cup, is to upgrade the floodlights existing floodlights to LED units, which are more energy efficient and create a reduced amount of light spill outside of our site”.
According to the plans, there will be no change to the height of the floodlight, with only the light units at the top being altered.
Wyre Forest District Council approved the plans earlier this week.
On February 5, underdogs Kidderminster were cruelly knocked out of the fourth round of the FA Cup after coming close to embarrassing their Premier League opponents.
The Hammers equalised in stoppage time and scored the winner in extra time.
